A New Era
BY MANUEL MIRANDAGiving Us Voice
Joseph L. Garlington - Pittsburgh
Mr. Miranda's clarifying insights concerning the process and direction of Supreme Court nominee has been especially helpful for those of us who lack his excellent perspectives. And while those insights have been helpful concerning the confirmation of Judge Roberts; in other ways it has simply heightened the anxiety of some of us who often feel powerless and this highly political process, and at times voiceless in the face of a highly vocalized minority. It is my hope that our representatives will somehow find the courage to choose with integrity and nobility of ideals.
Thank you for giving Mr. Miranda the opportunity to help us.
Thanks for the Insight
E.W. Rodier - Jupiter, Fla.

Thank You
John Salzer - Lutz, Fla.
Mr. Miranda, I would like to thank you for the series of articles on John Roberts' nomination. They are well-written and clear and have gone a long way to enhance my understanding of the candidate and the process.
More Manny
Joy Loth - Houston
Manuel Miranda has been an excellent guide and instructor as we followed the Robert's nominations through his confirmation. As we anticipate who will be chosen to fill the shoes of Sandra Day O'Connor, I'm hoping that Mr. Miranda will be present on these pages to share his wisdom through what is sure to be a contentious hearing.
The Next Justice
Steve Campbell - Cornelia, Ga.
Thank you for your insights on the confirmation process. I hope the editors will see fit to ask you to continue this column during the upcoming confirmation hearings to succeed Justice O'Connor.
Well Done
Scott Williams - Columbus, Ohio
Thank you for your insightful and to the point analysis. We appreciate your knowledgeable comments and are especially appreciative of the punctuality and frequency of your columns. We are hoping that you will be able to take on the challenge for the next nominee.
Many thanks for a job well done.
Thanks!

Manuel Miranda has himself contributed mightily to the new reality of Judiciary Committee hearings, the marking of the blowhards as blowhards, the revelation of the dishonesty and deception underlying the "speeches" and "questions," the condemnation of individual senators who attempt to pervert the process, and the exposure of the rabid, behind-the-curtain activists pulling Democrat senatorial strings.
Thank you Mr. Miranda for being our able tour guide through the rocks and shoals of the Roberts hearings. Thanks also to editor James Taranto and his associates at OpinionJournal.com for finding Manuel Miranda and giving him this forum. Combined with other contributions to exposing the deceptions, including "Best of the Web Today," you have sent the advise and consent subverters limping to the showers.
What About the Responses?
Bill Breuer - Malverne, N.Y.
Is there a lesson to be derived from the fact that Mr. Miranda's farewell does not acknowledge the readers responses to his opines? Is this a Beltway thing? Whatever.
