Collin started her career at the Journal in 1997 as an editorial assistant and reporter for Journal Editor Bob Bartley. In 1999, she became an editorial writer in New York and in 2001 moved to Hong Kong, where she wrote about Japan, Pakistan and India. A year later she returned to New York as an assistant features editor and editor of the Manager's Journal column. She has also worked as a weekly op-ed columnist for the New York Post and the Seattle Times.

Born in Chicago, Ms. Levy is a graduate of Vassar College.
