Who We Are
Howard Dickman

Howard Dickman is deputy editorial features editor at The Wall Street Journal. Before joining the Journal, Mr. Dickman was the assistant chairman for programs at the National Endowment for the Humanities from 2003-2005, an assistant managing editor at Reader's Digest from 1985-2003, and a senior editor at Harper's magazine from 1983-1984. His book, "Industrial Democracy in America: Ideological Origins of National Labor Relations Policy," was published by Open Court in 1988.

Mr. Dickman has a Ph.D. and an M.A. in history from The University of Michigan, and a B.A. in history from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. He is a Research Associate at the Social Philosophy and Policy Center at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
