Ned Crabb
Ned Crabb is letters editor of The Wall Street Journal. In 1976 Mr. Crabb
joined the Journal as a copy editor for the national news desk in New York.
He moved to the editorial page as a features editor in 1984 and became
editor of the Journal's "Letters to the Editor" column in 1989.
Mr. Crabb began his journalism career in 1961 as a copy and photo editor at the Miami News. Five years later he went to the Miami Herald as a copy editor and a layout editor. He left the Herald in 1971 and became a free-lancer, writing about nature, ecology and history for various magazines. He joined the copy desk of the New York Daily News in 1974.
In 1990, Mr. Crabb was the recipient of a WUXTRY special recognition award for headline writing. In 1993 he was a runner-up in the headline-writing category of the American Society of Newspaper Editors Awards.
Mr. Crabb and his wife, Elizabeth Kay Spencer Crabb, have two daughters and live in New York City.
