The trend is clear: Spring fashions will soon fill stores with the sheerest of clothing.
Stella McCartney has see-through slacks and dresses. Valentino made transparent shoes and put studs on transparent clutches. Akris's Albert Kriemler sent so many fully exposed models down his spring runway in Paris that some toughened fashion editors blushed. In eveningwear, the amount of skin peeking through gowns at the Golden Globes last weekend was a hint of what's to come.
Fast-fashion outlets are onto the trend as well. Transparent looks are already hanging on racks at Urban Outfitters.
