"Inventing Abstraction, 1910-1925" has over 350 multidisciplinary works made during the birth of the movement, including Giacomo Balla's "Abstract Speed + Sound", poetry readings and a video of German dancer Mary Wigman performing.

The 90-photo "Seduced by Art" focuses on the relationships among early 19th-century photography, contemporary photos and the tradition of painting. The family portrait, pictured here, is by the German photographer Thomas Struth.

"Posters in Paris" features classics by such artists as Jules Chéret, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Leonetto Cappiello (sometimes called the father of modern advertising). Here, Théophile Steinlen's ad for sterilized milk. A few were stolen from turn-of-the-century billboards.
